I got to spend some time today with Ryan from Green Umbrella to chat about Climate Change. She explained to me the science behind climate change and how it is affecting Cincinnati. Ryan is the executive director of Green Umbrella, a non-profit organization that includes many different action teams: Energy, Waste Reduction, Transportation, Greenspace, Water, Local Food and Outdoors. Each team has monthly meetings and encourages locals to sign up to be on a team.
Green Umbrella has also started a program called 2030 where they are collaborating with existing business in Cincinnati to make their buildings healthy, sustainable and high-performing. Check out Green Umbrella's website for more information.
